Over 35000 Houses allotted to Udaipur District

An important session of Mukhyamantri Gramin BPL Avas Yojana (Chief Ministers Rural Housing Scheme for BPL families) was undertaken by the Zila Parishad (District Council) under the presidentship of Madhu Mehta, District Head, at the Zila Parishad Hall.

 

An important session of Mukhyamantri Gramin BPL Avas Yojana (Chief Ministers Rural Housing Scheme for BPL families) was undertaken by the Zila Parishad (District Council) under the presidentship of Madhu Mehta, District Head, at the Zila Parishad Hall.

In the session an approval of Rupees 193.5 Crore has been allotted for the financial year 2012-13 to Udaipur towards construction of 35,936 houses under the scheme.

Hemant Gera, District Collector has told all development officials to give a signed list of all beneficiaries of BPL Avas Yojana to all related Zila Parishad members, Panchayat Samiti members, Sarpanch and Ward Panch. He also asked to necessarily inform all the selected beneficiaries of the scheme.

In the meeting Abrar Ahmed, Chief Executive Office, Zila Parishad informed that acceptance has been issued for the 42,039 houses allotted last year and the first installment of Rs. 12.15 Crore and a second installment of Rs. 47.69 Crore has been deposited to the accounts of the intended beneficiaries.

Till date 25,677 houses have been completed up to lintel level and 642 houses have been finished.

He further added that in the previous year four complains were received regarding construction of the houses for which teams were sent immediately and necessary action was taken.

Abrar Ahmed also told that 2,648 houses have been allotted in Girva Panchayat Samiti, 1095 in Badgaon, 3,238 in Gogunda, 1,558 in Mavli, 4,159 in Bhinder, 15 in Lasadia, 5,471 in Kherwada, 2,658 in Salumber, 5,006 in Sarada, 5,225 in Jhadol and 3,377 in Kothda.

On this occasion Zila Parishad members and other related officials were present.
