In Udaipur district, there are currently 103 vacant positions for Patwaris and only 4 out of the 15 Inspector positions have been filled. These personnel are affiliated with the office of the Land Management Officer and Udaipur Collectorate. This information was disclosed by the government on Tuesday 18 July, 2023 during a session in the state assembly in response to a question raised by Amrit Lal Meena, the MLA of Salumbar in Udaipur district. The government stated that the vacant positions have been converted into Drawing Cadres, resulting in the conversion of Amin positions into Patwari positions.
Regarding the vacant positions in the Sarada, Gingla, Jhallara, and Jaisamand areas of Salumbar, the MLA emphasized that filling these positions is an ongoing process. The government also assured that necessary measures will be taken to fill the vacant positions of Girdawar (Land Records Inspector) and Inspector of the Land Management Department after the DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee) in the year 2023-24.
Out of the total sanctioned 540 Patwari positions in the Collectorate office, 92 positions are currently vacant. Additionally, out of the 60 sanctioned Patwari positions in the Land Management Officer's office, 10 positions are vacant. Similarly, out of the 15 sanctioned Inspector positions in this office, 11 positions are currently vacant.
