The traffic police have recently installed pencil dividers in several areas of the city. Dividers can now be found on the road from Syphon to the Fatehpura intersection, as well as on the road connecting Swaroop Sagar to Fateh Sagar, Daitya Magri, the stretch from Surajpol to Khanjipeer, Delhigate etc. This aims to alleviate traffic jams and enhance traffic flow.

There are narrow lanes and streets where dividers have been placed, which reduces road space. However, this measure helps prevent accidents and reduces traffic jams.

Additionally, traffic signage or indicators should be installed to signal whether a U-turn is allowed, where to stop, mark intersections, highlight danger zones, and more.

Recent Installation at Fatehpura 

Dividers have been placed on Syphon Road from Celebration Bakery to Lakecity Hospital. Previously, customers visiting the bakery would take a U-turn at the first divider to head towards the intersection. Similarly, vehicles from the RK House lane would also turn towards the intersection at the same point.

The convergence of traffic from both directions, along with vehicles going from the Fatehpura intersection to Syphon, often led to frequent traffic jams. Now, people from RK House and Celebration Bakery must go up to Lakecity Hospital to take a U-turn, preventing vehicle entanglement.

Additionally, a slip lane has been created for vehicles coming from Sukhadia Circle and heading towards Dewali. By installing a divider, vehicles can now turn directly from the slip lane without approaching the intersection, further easing traffic flow.
