In the absence of a legal license to sell and distribute petrol, Vijay Petrol Pump, Near UN Autommobiles has been seized today by the Rationing Department.

According to M.L. Chauhan, Officer, Rationing Deptt. the officials running the petrol pump do not have a renewed license of explosive which legalize one to distribute and own the petrol.

The license was not renewed because DSO Department has to do the proceedings in it and for that the ownership on the leased land of Vijay Petrol Pump should have been rehabilitated by its land owner, which was not done.  The contract of lease, thus also needed to be renewed.

From the past 8 months, the petrol being sold at Vijay Petrol pump hence fell under illegal distribution and a proper investigation against this distribution will also be done later post this seizure.  The license expired on 1^st Jan, 2012.

Though, the license renewal was applied by the officials of the Petrol Pump, but not renewing the land was the reason it was not been renewed by the DSO dept.
