All the petrol/diesel pumps in Udaipur will have a daily revision of prices from tomorrow (1-May,2017). This daily revision by state owned oil retailers including BPCL, HPCL and IOC is rolled out in five cities as a pilot project with Udaipur being one of the pilots.

28 petrol pumps falling in the Municipal corporation territory will now see daily revision. Out of these 28, 12 belong to BPCL with 8 each belonging to HPCL and IOC. In line with the developed countries, these pumps will sync everyday with changing international prices of fuel.

Currently, rates are revised on 1st and 16th of every month on the basis of average international prices of fuel in the preceding month.

Daily price revisions are expected to benefit customers and hoarding of oil products will not be possible since prices change every midnight. Daily revisions will also remove the big increase in rates that happens currently.

Outlets have been directed to reflect the changes in rates at midnight daily. The three state owned oil firms have put display boards for announcing the rates to consumers.
