Udaipurites that were worried due to the lack of signs of rain from the past few weeks felt equally satisfied today with the continuous drizzling.
The rains began at approximately 3 am and continued for an hour. The day started off cloudy but dry till late afternoon, by which time the rainfall started again, accompanied by thunder and lightning.
UT’s photo journalist Ayush Devpura tried to cover some instances on streets after the rain.
According to weather department, medium to heavy rainfall can be witnessed in next 48 hours. The rainfall recorded by the weather department in last 24 hours is 7.7mm, while 4.8mm in past 12 hours.
