PINK BELT GANG to start in Udaipur
PINK BELT GANG training to begin soon in Udaipur.
Crime against women is on the rise in Udaipur. Every now and then, some or the other woman faces eve-teasing, becomes a victim of heinous crime or is subjected to some other type of physical torture. To deal with such issues, a PINK BELT GANG will soon be made in Udaipur.
PINK BELT GANG is a self defence programme for females. Under this programme, females will be trained to handle situations like physical harassment and sudden attacks. One more objective of this self defence programme is to strengthen the females to such an extent that no one would dare to harass them again.
Rajasthan Women’s Commission has devised this self defence programme. This programme was first started in Jaipur on 22nd May. Later it was taken over to Kota and Jodhpur. The next stage of this programme will be conducted in Udaipur in the month of August.
Female students from higher classes of selected schools and colleges will be trained in self defence. 10 trained students of state level will train 10 students each from schools and colleges. The training will be imparted in the early morning hours. Kung-Fu, Judo and some other modern styles of defence will be taught to females.
Per day there will 2 classes for 10 days. One class will be practical and the other will be theoretical. Motivational speakers will teach the students how to handle the situation by taking quick decision. They will also teach the styles of quick communication with the ‘enemy’. Schools and colleges are being selected for the training under PINK BELT GANG programme.
