More than thousands of litres of water went waste as the pipe line laid to bring water to the city from Jaisamand Lake broke.

Road digging work was going on at the RK Puram road in Gokul village, Savina. On Monday morning, the excavating machine hit the water pipe line and the line broke. As a result, water gushed out and people helplessly watched this precious state of matter going waste. This pipe line was connected to a water tank in the area, capacity of the water tank being 15 lakh litres. Residents of the area gathered and informed the water resource department. It took an hour to shut down the valve and then the repair work of the pipe line began.
