Pipeline Leak Causes Flooding at Udaipur’s Celebration Mall
It took around one-and-a-half hours to bring the situation under control and repair the leakage
UdaipurTimes, Nov 3, 2026 - Several shops on the second floor of Celebration Mall in Udaipur were flooded with water on Tuesday (November 3) morning after a pipeline was damaged. A leakage near one of the shops caused water to spread rapidly towards the escalator. The strong flow of water resulted in flooding of several nearby shops. It took around one-and-a-half hours to bring the situation under control and repair the leakage.
The sudden entry of water into the shops left traders panicked, prompting them to make their own efforts to drain the accumulated water, according to eyewitness Vinod Jain. As water continued spreading across the second floor, efforts were made to prevent it from reaching the other floors of the mall.
The mall management staff then arrived at the site and made arrangements to prevent water from entering the escalator area also restricting public access to the affected section.
