Indian PM Narendra Modi visits Israel in 2026 to discuss defence, trade and diplomatic ties with Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu; read details of the two-day visit

Feb 25, 2026 - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a two-day visit to Israel from Wednesday (February 25), his second visit to the country as Prime Minister. PM Modi is scheduled to land at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv at 4:00 pm today and will hold wide-ranging talks with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu shortly afterwards.

The Israeli PM office issued a statement underscoring a “tremendous alliance between Israel and India” and added “we are going to discuss all sorts of cooperation”.

PM Modi’s visit, at the invitation of Netanyahu, is aimed at strengthening the bilateral defence and trade relationships between the two countries. He will address the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) at 8:00 pm today and is also scheduled to meet the Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

The PM Modi had last visited Israel in 2017, the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the country.
