Giving his views on the Union budget, PM Narendra Modi said  that the first budget under "Amrit Kaal" has created a solid foundation for reaching the objectives and aspirations of a society that includes the poor and middle class.

PM Modi stated in his initial response to the Budget for the 2023–24 fiscal year that the government had made several important decisions in the previous years to guarantee the middle class had more power and a better standard of living. The nation was founded, according to PM Modi, by traditional craftsmen including carpenters, iron smiths, goldsmiths and potters.

He said that the middle class has received significant tax relief from our government, which has always supported them.

He said this budget prioritizes the underprivileged and works to realize the aspirations of the society, including the underprivileged, rural areas, and the middle class. In order to further advance the welfare of women, the government has adopted important measures like the Jal Jeevan Mission, Ujjwala Yojana, and PM Awas Yojana and among others. These initiatives are for women who live in cities, villages and are employed or stay at home as mothers.

The government has developed the largest food storage plan in the cooperative sector, which would increase the area where milk and fish are produced alongside farming and provide farmers, animal keepers and fishermen higher pricing for their catch.

This budget includes a significant strategy for infrastructure and digital agriculture in the Agriculture sector. Mentioning that the Year of Millet is being observed globally, in India, there are several varieties of millet with numerous names. This budget will provide green employment, green infrastructure, green growth and green jobs with unprecedented expansion for a sustainable future.
