Udaipur, December 10, 2024 - In a shocking incident last evening, a male constable allegedly shot at his female colleague and then turned the gun on himself in the Begun police station area of Chittorgarh. As per the last reports received, both are in a serious condition and currently undergoing treatment at the Chittorgarh District Hospital. The two have been identified as Poonam and the alleged perpetrator as Siyaram and were said to be on probation.

According to information, the incident occurred after a roll call at a rented house located near the police station where Poonam and Siyaram were posted. On receiving the. news, Begun Deputy Anjali Singh and the CI, along with a team, rushed to the spot. The matter has been reported to higher authorities.

Police Superintendent Sudhir Joshi and a large number of police personnel have been deployed at Chittorgarh District Hospital where the two are admitted. The emergency entrance to the hospital has allegedly been shut causing inconvenience to other patients.
