Udaipur, March 6, 2025 - Officials from the Hotel Association have expressed disappointment regarding the filth and poor maintenance of public toilets in Udaipur’s tourist areas. They met Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kewalramani to discuss the issue and demand improvements. Many tourist areas in Udaipur have public toilets that are often in poor condition. Complaints of foul smells, lack of water, and unhygienic surroundings are common. Visitors frequently face difficulties due to the lack of proper sanitation facilities.
Yashvardhan Ranawat, National Vice President of Intellectual Cell Corruption and Crime, highlighted the poor condition of toilets near the City Palace. He mentioned that domestic and foreign tourists visit this area in large numbers, but the foul smell, filth, and lack of maintenance create a negative image of Udaipur’s tourism.
Ranawat suggested replacing traditional brick-and-cement toilets with ultra-modern mobile toilets. He explained that mobile toilets are easier to maintain and would help keep tourist areas clean.
After listening to the concerns, Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kewalramani directed the Udaipur Municipal Corporation to take immediate action. She emphasized that such issues harm Udaipur’s reputation as a tourism city and must be addressed quickly.
