The Indian Postal Department is enhancing Raksha Bandhan celebrations this year by offering special packaging options. The festival, which celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters, will be marked with new waterproof envelopes and gift boxes.

The department has introduced waterproof envelopes and boxes priced at Rs 10/-, Rs 15/-, and Rs 30/-. These items come in two sizes, suitable for sending Rakhis and gifts. The envelopes and boxes are available in pink and off-white colours, with Rakhis printed on them. A special printed box is also available, highlighting the affection sent by sisters.

Akshay Bhanudas Gadekar assured that these Rakhi items can be purchased at local post offices. To ensure timely delivery, the department is prioritizing the dispatch, sorting, and delivery of Rakhi mail. Instructions have been given to all post offices and delivery staff to guarantee Rakhis reach their destinations on time.
