Postal Strike Continue on Second Day
The daily proceedings of Central Government offices was partially affected on Thursday as Postal Employees continued a two day strike, held on call of NFPE (National Federation of Postal Employees) and FNPO (Federation of National Postal Organization).
The daily proceedings of Central Government offices was partially affected on Thursday as Postal Employees continued a two day strike, held on call of NFPE (National Federation of Postal Employees) and FNPO (Federation of National Postal Organization). Through this nationwide strike federation urged government to consider their 15 point demand.
According to Chain Singh Rao, President, Udaipur Postal Union, “On second day of strike all post related work remained closed, whereas all the Post Offices across city were locked for whole day which also affected Depository services.”
Chain Singh informed that federation has kept 15 points demands before the government. They have urged government to include postal employees in 7th Pay Commission, ensuring revision of wages of employees every five years, adding back 50% of DA amount in Salary, stop outsourcing and privatization of government work were some of the prominent demands.
Chain Singh also added that apart from demonstrating outside head post office at Chetak Circle, a ‘Sadd Buddhi Yagya’ was also organized. The postal workers would be back on work from Friday onwards, added Chain Singh.
