The long wait is over.

No more traffic jams, you won't miss your flights.

The long awaited flyover at Bhuwana-Eklingpura route began on Friday 2nd October at 10:15. It was a much much needed thing as this route that leads to the airport has witnessed immense traffic jams leading to lots of people missing their flights.

The flyover is 450 metres long and 15.7 metres wide. The construction work for this flyover began in 2019 and took around 17 months to take the final form. It has attracted a budget of 18.52 crores. It may be noted that the construction work had come to a halt in 2019 as the pandemic spread all over. It gained back speed during the modified lockdown period and the city has now received this gift.

Though the tar work is yet to be done, yet the traffic movement began on Friday. Once the weather becomes completely dry, this remaining work will be done, as informed by UIT Secretary Arun Hasija.

Each day more than 8000 vehicles frequent this route and traffic jams have been a common happening here. Now that the flyover work is complete, it will be a great relief for the people going to the airport as they will find a smooth traffic assisting them in reaching the airport much on time.
