Udaipur Municipal Corporation’s lake conservation department has started clearing the drains (nalas) connected to city lakes.

 

While the monsoon of this year is still let desert torn Rajasthan awaited after weather forecast department had declared 15 June a date for monsoon to touch in southern rajasthan but authorities are not in mood to give a chance.

Udaipur Municipal Corporation’s lake conservation department has started clearing the drains (nalas) connected to city lakes.

Today, the authority initiated to clean up dried madar nullah which becomes an illegal dumping yard by locals during winter and summer season.

There are almost all water channels connecting with lakes are full of wild grass and garbages, the most awful condition is of water channel connected to fateh sagar to ayad river, which became the den of garbage.

Premsingh Shekhawat director of lake conservation committee ( Municipal Corporation) said that “We are working on to clean all nullahs linked to city lakes, not only cleaning it but we are also going to take appropriate steps to avoid drainage water coming in these nullas, we will either diversify these drainage or close it to stop water pollution which effect the lake conservation”.
