Udaipur experienced another Pre-Monsoon rain this year today. Dark clouds started forming at around 5pm which was followed by gusts of wind, thunderclaps, lightning and finally heavy rains which lasted for about an hour.

This is the second rainfall that occurred this year with the
previous one taking place nearly a month earlier. The rainfall brought with it much needed relief after a weeklong heat wave which caused the temperatures in the city to reach 45 degrees this week. Other parts of Rajasthan region also received rainfall in the past few days as well. Although the rainfall effectively ended the heat wave, it also caused problems for the residents of the people. Traffic was severely affected on the road due to the rains and the water logging caused by it. Certain areas were also affected by power cuts around the city.
