RailTel, under the Ministry of Railways, has launched pre-paid high speed Wi-Fi service across more than 4000 railway stations of India. More than 5950 railway stations have the facility of Wi-Fi across India and now this high speed facility will prove to be more useful.
The first 30 minutes of access will be free and post this, 34 mbps plans can be chosen at nominal rates.
The plans have been designed as per user needs offering flexible choices. A variety of existing payment options like net banking, wallet, credit card etc. can be used to purchase plans online.
Annual revenue of 10 to 15 crore rupees is expected from the pre-paid Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi plans are as hereunder:
