Private hospitals to reserve 60% of total beds for covid patients @ government's orders

On Thursday 45, 576 covid cases were recorded in India which is actually quite alarming.

-4 teams have been sent by the centre to Rajasthan, Haryana, Manipur and Gujarat for assistance.

-Based on the action, there will be an increase of 2,644 beds in private hospitals.

The situation has become extremely alarming again. India recorded more than 45 thousand covid cases on Thursday taking the total to 89, 58,483. 585 more deaths were recorded taking the numbers to 1,31,578.

Corona virus has infected more than 5.61 crore people round the globe and has taken 13, 48, 348 lives. In the wake of the increasing numbers of covid patients, Delhi government issued directives for 90 private hospitals to reserve 60 percent of their total bed capacity for the treatment of covid patients. This will lead to an increase of 2,644 beds in private hospitals.

The centre has sent 4 teams to Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana and Manipur for assistance in strengthening containment, surveillance, infection prevention, testing and control measures. The teams will be visiting the districts where high covid cases have been reported and will help in the efforts of that particular district in combating the infection.

It may be noted that covid has infected more than 5 crore people and taken the lives of 13 lakh plus people. 3.6 crore people have also recovered from the infection. In India 83,83,602 people have recovered so far.
