A 35 year old man drowned in Badi Lake yesterday evening, 23^rd April. The reason for the casualty is still not confirmed but it is alleged that the victim was drunk and could have committed suicide due to mental stress.

The identity of the deceased was revealed as Dinesh Harish Suthar (Munna), a property dealer and resident of Bedla Road. According to the police, Dinesh was accompanied by his friend Vijay Khatri and both were sitting at the shore of the lake and drinking.

It was when Vijay went to answer nature’s call that Harish allegedly jumped off the lake and drowned.

However, unknown to this fact that his friend drowned in the lake, Vijay started searching around and later after one hour Dinesh’s body was found floating over the lake. The body was pulled out with the help of police and some locals.

According to sources, Harish was in heavy financial debt of Rs.50-60 Lakhs in the property business and he allegedly committed suicide due to mental stress.
