Massive protest erupted at Ravliya Khurd village of Gogunda area of Udaipur on Monday , a day after few unidentified accused vandalized a statue of Lord Parshuram.A case has been registered a special has been formed for the investigation of the matter.

The incidence came to light on Monday afternoon when someone visited the temple to offer prayers and spotted the statue lying outside it. Aggrieved over the incidence the protestors from the Hindu community staged a huge sit in protest on Monday outside the Parshuram temple of the area, they were demanding quick identification of the accused and strict action against them. They also blocked the road for a while.

The Deputy Sp Bhupednra Singh, Station House Officer of Gogunda police station Anil Vishnoi along with the Gogunda Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Hanuman Singh Rathode, Tehsildar Ravindra Singh and immediately rushed to the spot after getting the information of the incidence. He assured the protestors for appropriate action against the culprits following which the protestors eventually ended their protest.

By expressing concern over the incidence SDM Rathode assured the protestors that the statue will be soon reinstalled in the temple and the culprits will also be arrested soon. Those protesting against the incidence told the officials that if no appropriate action will be taken against the accused within 10 days than it will have dire consequences and the administration will be held responsible for it. However the situation is under control, the vandalized statue was taken in police custody and a intensive search operation for the accused has been launched.
