Bhuvana protest

Locals asserted that the government is wasting money by building the elevated road because there is no traffic pressure from the Bhuvana bypass to Bhuvana Village. Construction of elevated roads will put an end to the side-of-the-road businesses and will make people unemployed.

Pratap Singh Rathore, a Deputy Pradhan of  Badgaon, asked the authorities to build the elevated road where it was needed. The locals urged that the issue be brought up with the government in a note they sent to the collector.

In fact, recently, UIT had approved the DPR for the elevated in Bhuvana. An elevated road is to be constructed in Bhuvana at a cost of about Rs. 90 crores. This elevated road was announced in the budget 2023-24. Recently, the tender was issued for preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the elevated road from Bhuvana Chauraha to the village. The applicant has been given time till March 21 2023 to submit the tender.

DPR was sought for two phases. In the first phase, the report of traffic survey and demand assessment has to be prepared. Apart from this, the cost estimation of elevated road, service road, bridge, drain-cross drainage structure have to be prepared and told. The project will be implemented in the second phase. In this, completion of bid process, appointment of authorized contractor after opening of tender and project management services will be decided.
