Lok Kala Mandal is about to hold workshops for those wanting to learn the art of making puppets and toys. The workshop is beginning from 6^th April and will go on till 25^th April.

Speaking on behalf of Lok Kala Mandal, Secretary Riyaz Tehsin said that the puppet and toy making workshop is being held with the aim to encourage and conserve traditional art. The workshop will be conducted daily from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Candidates will be trained on making puppets through gloves, thread and also paper. They will also be taught the art of using these puppets for the purpose of entertainment in shows.

Training will also be imparted on making toys from paper, wood and cloth. Monika Sharma from NIFT, Mumbai and artists of Lok Kala Mandal will be training the interested candidates. Workshop is meant for age group 8 years and above.
