MP Raghuveer Singh Meena proposed a special package for Kotda village, in a meeting held with CM Ashok Gehlot. A press conference was held for the same in Udaipur today (April 23, 2011) at T.R.I. Ashok Nagar at 11 am. Reservation of SC/ST was the main issue of conference. Along with Raghuveer Singh Meena, Tarachand Bhagora-MP of Banswara, Mahendra Jeet Singh Malwiya- Minister of SC/ST and Bheru lal Meena-member of Central SC/ST department were also present there.

According to the press note, Article 244(1) section 5, paragraph 5 , sub paragraph 1 has announced Dungarpur, Banswara, Udaipur district’s Falsia, Khairwada, Kotda, Sarada, Salumbar, Lasadia & Girwa’s 81 villages, Pratapgarh district’s Dhariyawad & Arnod & Sirohi district’s Abu road’s Abu block, as the SC/ST area. Government of Rajasthan had announced that 45% state job vacancies would be reserved for SC/ST. The above all announced schemes are not being executed properly.

Following is the data from the ad in which the scheme of  reservation claims was announced.

Above mentioned table made it clear that the actual postings (72) were less than the 45% claim (147). More data about the postings in Health department, Excise department, State transportation department, Mines & Earth Science department, Forest department & Panchayati Raj department, was provided in the press note.

Agenda of the Confrence:

1- A discussion on T.S.P ‘s reservation in reference to section 5 of Indian Constitution.

2- Distribution of Gas Aency, Patrol Pumps, Mines in T.S.P. area of Rajasthan.

3- The exectution of original residence proof.

4- Development in T.S.P area.

Apart from the reservation issue, there were few more demands which are listed below.

• Like Shahbad residents, Kotda should also be provided special package.
• Improvement in education levels.
• A proposal for hostel for safe stay of employees.
• Transport facilities for employees.
• Special funds to those who are dying out of starvation.
• Proper & timely delivery of ration.
• Accommodation to poor by providing them special package.
• Electricity connection under Rajeev Gandhi plan.

Raghuveer Singh Meena is expecting positive conclusions from the talk with CM Ashok Gehlot.
