Rain Continues in region, Sisarma Flows to 1 inch
Following continuous spells of rain in the last 2 days in Udaipur; Sisarma River started flowing today at nearly 1 inch mark, it is one of the main sources of water supply to Lake Pichola – the largest lake in Udaipur city.

According to the irrigation department, 195.6 mm of rain has been recorded in Udaipur city in the past 48 hours. Highest rain is recorded in Som (441mm) in Udaipur district followed by Devas where 331 mm of rain has been received in the last two days.
It’s been more than 48 hours now, the city of Udaipur is completely covered with rain clouds, on Saturday, July 23, Udaipur city received maximum of 183 mm rain while Sunday July 24 remained bit dry with only 12 mm of rain while Som received 67mm of rain yesterday.
Today was partially dry while some parts of the city received low-medium showers,but all this has made the weather a bit cold and favorable for picnic goers as Udaipur is situated amid dozens of water channels which serves as apt locations to be at in times of such pleasant weather .
The whole of Mewar region including Banswara, Dungarpur, Rajsamand, Chittor, Pratapgarh and Bhilwara have also received good precipitation in the last 48 hours. Maximum rain has been reported from Pratapgarh with 611mm while Rajsamand received the lowest 144 mm of rain.
