With the temperature going down once again after series of climatic chaos, many parts of the Rajasthan state including Udaipur, Kota, Jhalawar and Baran has witnessed heavy to moderate rainfall today.

Rain lashes city, heavy showers expected in next 48 hours Udaipurites woke up in a pleasant weather today morning, it started raining around 9:30 am and continued four about 45 mins. In between, the rest of the day went moist and cloudy but no rainfall till evening; however the mild showers re-started in late evening dripping the major parts of the city. Pleasant weather gave relief to the locals affecting the road traffic with slow moving vehicles in the old city areas. The meteorological department has forecast more rain in the district in next 24-48 hours with heavy thunderstorm; the maximum rain is predictable on August 10 according to the department. With 22 % humidity, the temperature has gone down to 26 degree Celsius, the westerly wind flows with 19-20 km/hr has eradicated heat and humidity, mounting the close chances of precipitation. Udaipur lakes are still waiting for the overflow as most of the lakes still require plenty of rainfall to pour out.
