Rajasthan Government to Fix Dangerous Road Spots After Deadly Gas Tanker Crash

Strict action will be taken if road construction and repairs are not done properly

Udaipur, December 21,2024 - After a deadly accident on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway, the Rajasthan government announced a plan to improve dangerous road spots across the state.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said the government will spend Rs 2,350 crore to fix these spots, called "blackspots," to prevent more accidents.

He asked the state's Public Works Department (PWD) to focus on these areas and make the roads safer. He also warned that strict action will be taken if road construction and repairs are not done properly.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is also working to repair 176 blackspots in Rajasthan. This work will cost Rs 650 crore.
