Rajasthan Chief Minister is seeking a meeting with the Governor alongwith his supporting MLAs. This comes after the Rajasthan High Court handed a major relief to the dissident Sachin Pilot camp by ordering a "Status Quo" in the disqualification case against Sachin and his 18 supporters from the Congress camp.
Supreme Court will the hear the case on Monday and the High Court has put off its decision till then. The Sachin Pilot camp had moved an application seeking impleadment of the Union of India as a party to the proceedings in the disqualification case. The application was allowed by a two member bench of Chief Justice Indrajit Mohanty and Justice Prakash Gupta on Thursday.
As per the High Courts instructions today, the rebels cannot be disqualified now.
The Chief Minister, in the meanwhile, will be addressing a press conference before going to the Governor's house with is MLAs. Ashok Gehlot had discussed an assbembly session with the Governor, indicating that he is preparing for a show of strength.
Sachin Pilot, in the meanwhile said that is he is disqualified, his political is over.
