Rajasthan Civic Polls Phase 2: Udaipur Votes Today
Elections to all 309 urban local bodies in Rajasthan are being carried out in two phases
Udaipur Times, Sept 11, 2026 - Udaipur is voting today, September 11, in the urban local bodies elections conducted by the State Election Commission (SEC) in the State under the “One State, One Election” initiative. Elections to all 309 urban local bodies, for a total of 10 municipal corporations, 47 municipal councils and 252 municipalities, in Rajasthan are being carried out in two phases.
The first phase was on September 9, 2026, for 162 civic bodies, comprising four municipal corporations, 27 municipal councils and 131 municipalities. The overall voter turnout in the first phase was 76.42 per cent - highest recorded in Arnod Municipality in Pratapgarh district at 91.98 per cent and lowest in Bhilwara Municipal Corporation in Bhilwara district at 63.84 per cent.
In the second phase today, elections are being held in a total of 147 urban local bodies, including six municipal corporations, 20 municipal councils and 121 municipalities. Of these, 40 are new civic bodies. There are 4,852 wards for which 9,758 polling booths have been set up. A total of 8,760,884 registered voters will vote for 18,266 candidates.
