In a major step to support students in government schools, Rajasthan's Education Minister, Madan Dilwar, announced that free uniforms, sweaters, and shoes will be provided to students this winter.
Additionally, the state will establish a military academy exclusively for girls. The announcement was made during the Education Pre-Summit, held as part of the “Rising Rajasthan” initiative on November 6, 2024.
The summit saw a significant investment in the state's education and skill development sectors. A total of 507 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), valued at around Rs 28,000 crore, were signed across departments, including Education, Higher Education, Sports, and Skill and Entrepreneurship.
These MoUs aim to foster growth in educational facilities, improve sports infrastructure, and boost skill development programs across Rajasthan. The Education Minister highlighted that these initiatives are intended to enhance educational opportunities and quality for Rajasthan’s youth, aligning with the state’s broader developmental goals.
