The Candidates can apply until June 4, 2023 for the 2,859 pharmacist positions that the Rajasthan government has advertised. The health department had a free medicine programme in place since 2011, but no regular pharmacists have been hired during that time. Along with the positions for pharmacists, the health department also posted 7,020 positions for nursing officers. 

According to the schedule, the Nursing Officer and Pharmacist SIHFW Registration 2023 will take place from May 5 to July 4 of 2023. Through this hiring effort, the State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Rajasthan, seeks to fill 9,879 positions, of which 2,859 are for pharmacists and 7,020 are for nursing officers.

The State Institute of Health and Family Welfare (SIHFW) has been selected as the organization to hire nursing officers and chemists. An estimated 30,000 unemployed and contract pharmacists have been waiting for regular medical recruitment for the past ten years, according to Ramavatar Khandal, the media in charge for the Rajasthan NHM Pharmacists Association.  The health department will be strengthened by the hiring of chemists for drug distribution counters under the free medicine programme, which will also greatly benefit the state's citizens.

“We are recruiting pharmacists, nurses and other paramedical staff. Posts have been advertised for nurses and pharmacists and posts for other paramedical staff will be advertised soon.” - Suresh Nawal, Director(non-gazetted), health department. 

Pharmacists who have worked on a contract basis or during the Covid-19 pandemic will receive bonus points from the health department throughout the hiring process.
