Rajasthan Projects: December Deadline Set for Ajmer Stadium
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani reviews budget announcements and development works in a meeting with ADA officials
UdaipurTimes, Oct 2, 2026 - Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has directed officials of the Ajmer Development Authority (ADA) to ensure completion of the Rs 12-crore multipurpose stadium under construction at Makadwali by December end.
The Speaker also urged the completion of the Rs 28-crore convention centre by December 2027. He said the centre would include a modern auditorium with a seating capacity of more than 1,400 people, a cafeteria, restaurant, modern conference spaces and other facilities.
Devnani was reviewing the progress of ongoing development works, budget announcements and new proposals in the district during a meeting with ADA officials at the Circuit House on Thursday, October 1.
He told officials to complete budget announcements within the prescribed timelines, expedite the construction of new roads and drains and take strict action against encroachments on government land. He emphasised on the speedy completion of all beautification tasks around Varun Sagar and Chaurasiyawas Pond which would help develop Ajmer as a new tourism destination.
The development and expansion of four major roads leading toward the Ring Road is to be completed sector-wise. These include roads from:
- Municipal Corporation’s new office through Lohagal to the Nagaur Highway.
- Stephen Chauraha through Bhairu Wada and Makadwali to the Nagaur Highway.
- Prithviraj Nagar through Rati Dung and Chaurasiyawas to Nausar Ghati.
- Ryan School through Hathikhera to Varun Sagar and Kharekhdi Road.
