In order to address the growing incidents of crime in the state, the Rajasthan government in its 2021-22 budget had announced an increase of 58% Sub Inspector posts. To do this, the Constable posts were reduced by 3677 and this number was added to the 6323 Sub Inspector posts, thereby taking the number of SI posts up to 10,000.
