In the 20 days following the state election department's release of the final voter list on October 4, an impressive influx of over 102,000 new voters has been recorded. Notably, this surge in voter registration is set to persist until October 27, in line with the Election Commission's announced timeline. 

"Out of the 1,02,000 newly registered voters, 25,000 fall in the 18-19 age group who have successfully added their names to the voter list. On October 4, the count of these voters aged 18-19 stood at 22,06,000, which has now risen to 22,31,501," the officer said.

According to a high-ranking official from the state election department, there has been a notable surge in the state's voter numbers during the period from October 4 to October 24. The total count of registered voters in the state has now surpassed 5,27,77,382, marking a significant increase from the previous figure of 5,26,80,545. It is worth highlighting that among this surge, the category of service voters has notably expanded, with an impressive addition of 1,42,037 new service voters within the last 20 days.
