Udaipur, March 8,2025 - On International Women's Day, Rajasthan Police has urged women across the state to download the RajCop Citizen App for their safety. This app provides quick police assistance in emergencies. Director General of Police, Mr. Utkal Ranjan Sahu, informed that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched the "Need Help" feature in the app on December 14, 2024. Since then, 1,87,040 people have downloaded this feature, and the total app downloads have reached 18.3 lakh. Download app - Click Here
To promote the app, Rajasthan Police has been visiting colleges and coaching institutes. They have launched the tagline "If You Have the App, You Are Safe," created by ASI Sunita Sharma.
Under CM Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma’s leadership, the government is taking strict measures to protect women. Fast-track courts have been set up, laws have been made stricter, and 24-hour helplines are available. Night police patrols, CCTV cameras, and women’s police stations have also been introduced.
Mr. Hemant Priyadarshi, Director General of Cyber Crime, said that the "Need Help" feature in the RajCop Citizen App has helped many women in distress. So far, 13,638 people have sought help through the app, and most cases have been resolved.
