Udaipur, March 8,2025 - On International Women's Day, Rajasthan Police has urged women across the state to download the RajCop Citizen App for their safety. This app provides quick police assistance in emergencies. Director General of Police, Mr. Utkal Ranjan Sahu, informed that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched the "Need Help" feature in the app on December 14, 2024. Since then, 1,87,040 people have downloaded this feature, and the total app downloads have reached 18.3 lakh. Download app - Click Here

To promote the app, Rajasthan Police has been visiting colleges and coaching institutes. They have launched the tagline "If You Have the App, You Are Safe," created by ASI Sunita Sharma.

Government’s Efforts for Women's Safety

Under CM Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma’s leadership, the government is taking strict measures to protect women. Fast-track courts have been set up, laws have been made stricter, and 24-hour helplines are available. Night police patrols, CCTV cameras, and women’s police stations have also been introduced.

"Need Help" Feature is a Boon for Women

Mr. Hemant Priyadarshi, Director General of Cyber Crime, said that the "Need Help" feature in the RajCop Citizen App has helped many women in distress. So far, 13,638 people have sought help through the app, and most cases have been resolved.

Successful Cases of the "Need Help" Feature

  1. February 4, 2025 (Jodhpur): A schoolgirl was being harassed on her way to school. Her family reported the incident through the app, and the police took action.
  2. February 12, 2025 (Jaipur): A woman in Triveni Nagar was harassed. Within 3 minutes, the police reached the location and rescued her.
  3. March 4, 2025 (Sadar, Rajasthan): A young woman was trapped in a hotel where her male companion misbehaved. She used the app for help. The police found the hotel within 15 minutes and rescued her.

How to Download the RajCop Citizen App?

  1. Download the RajCop Citizen App from Google Play Store/iOS App Store.
  2. Log in using your mobile number or SSO ID.
  3. To seek help, the woman needs to click on the "Need Help" button.
  4. On the displayed screen, she must slide the arrow.
  5. The woman can type or record her message and submit it.
  6. Using the Help Request button, the user can track their request and see the police vehicle approaching their location.
  7. Once the police reach the location and provide assistance, the team closes the event in the system.
  8. Women can also give feedback about the police assistance provided.
