A bus of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), travelling from Rajsamand to Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh, broke down midway, causing significant inconvenience to many passengers.
Around 2:00 PM on Friday, the bus's main gear failed, forcing it to stop at the Jhalawar bus stand. Despite many efforts to restart the bus, it remained inoperable. About 60 passengers had to disembark and catch other passing vehicles to continue their journey, facing difficulties in transferring their luggage.
It has been reported that buses on routes from Udaipur to Banswara and other areas are very old and worn out. These buses frequently break down, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. Commuters allege that the corporation operates these dilapidated buses, often overcrowded beyond capacity, which poses a safety risk.
Passengers have demanded that the corporation improve the condition of the buses to ensure their safety and comfort.
