On conclusive day of “Rangaajali” festival organised as tribute to Late Hemant Pandya, jointly organised by Nadbharma and Mohan Singh Mehta Trust, mono act drama ‘Maa! Muje TagoreBana De’ was presented.

On the occasion of Teachers Day, one of the most renowned Mono Act drama ‘Maa! Muje Tagore Bana De’ was presented. This drama is written, directed and acted by Lucky Gupta of Jammu & Kashmir. It was on the milestone of 300th show, comprised on theme of quality education and ideal teacher.

In this drama, struggle of a poor yet intelligent student is shown, where character buddhu, resident of a small village attains success, but receives least support from his father due to his illiteracy and poverty. Subsequently buddhu always dreams to be like Tagore.

The play is inspired from a Punjabi Story, replicating a common yet intense issue of degrading quality of teachers, showing daily life of a student and his problem. Although the play is staged but it is more of a street play, which has bagged around 2 lac student viewers.

In words of Lucky Gupta, the play requires involvement of audience, specially youths. The play focuses majorly on the youth of the society and the teachers and their involvement gives energy to perform better and better.
