The Chief Minister of Rajasthan while presenting the budget had announced the beautification of Rani Road. The pilot project in this direction will begin soon.

Initially 100 metres of Rani Road will be covered in the pilot project for which the architects have been issued directives to create the design and lay-out for 100 metres. It has also been informed that the natural form of Fatehsagar Lake will not be disturbed by the beautification under any circumstances.

The beautification process will cover developments like sitting arrangements and all facilities from tourism point of view. After the initial 100 metre plan, the work will begin for the 5.5 km road.

UIT Secretary informed that once the design is ready, opinions of general public, lake lovers and experts will also be taken and work will commence after it is approved by all. Once the development on the 100 metre part is done and accepted by the public, the same will be carried out for the remaining road.

The main highlight of the development work is the use of plastic for constructing the road. The objective is to send a message of the importance of environment conservation which is the need of the hour.
