Rashmika and Vijay to Tie the Knot Amid the Aravallis
South stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna to tie the knot in Udaipur’s Aravalli hills with traditional South Indian rituals; exclusive guest list, haldi-mehendi ceremony and no-phone policy
Udaipur, Feb 26, 2026 - Amid the scenic Aravalli hills in Udaipur, South Indian stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna will take their wedding vows in a traditional ceremony. The couple will marry according to South Indian customs, with the sound of shehnais adding to the celebrations.
Several priests arrived from South India on Wednesday (February 25) at the wedding venue Hotel Mementos Ekaya to oversee the rituals.
Rashmika belongs to the Kodava community of Karnataka, while Vijay comes from a Telugu Hindu family.
Following tradition, Rashmika’s parents presented the groom’s family with coconuts, betel leaves, fruits, sweets and turmeric-kumkum. Vijay’s mother, Madhavi gifted traditional bangles to Rashmika as part of the ceremony.
The Haldi and Mehendi rituals were held on Wednesday. The bride and groom shared pictures from their haldi ceremony on their respective social media accounts, delighting fans across the country.
The wedding ceremony is an intimate affair, with only close friends invited. Among the attendees are Rahul Ravindran, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ashika Ranganath, Tharun Bhascker, Eesha Rebba and Shraddha Varma. All of them were also present at the haldi and mehendi ceremonies.
The couple has implemented a strict no-phone policy at the wedding to maintain privacy and exclusivity during the celebrations.
