Udaipur, December 9,2024 - Getting affiliation from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) for class 10th and 12th will now cost more. Schools will have to pay Goods and Services Tax (GST) on the affiliation fee.

The current fee is Rs 30,000. With 18% GST, schools will have to pay an extra Rs 5,400.

Every year, about 3,000 schools apply for affiliation. Private schools will be the first to pay GST.

Board Secretary Kailash Chandra Sharma said that all education boards are charging GST. The Rajasthan Board will also start collecting GST from this session.
