SHG-Bank linkage Programme is one of the thrust areas of Govt of India, State Government and NABARD. Various stakeholders viz. NGOs/Bankers/LDM/DDM/DPM of NRLM are involved in the process of promotion, nurturing and financing of SHGs.

NABARD organized the meet for the officials of 6 districts viz Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh and Rajsamand on 19 October 2016 at Kisan Bhavan, Reti Stand, Udaipur. Around 70 participants attended the meet.

Special Invitee of the meet Vinit Kumar, DGM, SBBJ, Ashwani Kumar Thamman, DGM, PNB, Ashwani Vashistha, MD, Udaipur CCB, RP Atrey, RM, RMGB also addressed the participants.

Vinod Paneri, District Project Manager (DPM) made presentation on SHGs promoted by NRLM. He explained the gathering on the process of formation and linkages of SHGs.

Vijendra Singh, District Development Manager (DDM), NABARD explained the benefit of formation and credit linkages of Joint Liability Groups (JLG). He advised the bankers to provide loans under SHG and JLG to increase their advances so that they can achieve their targets under priority sector and Agriculture sector. Information on various other schemes viz Solar Pumpset, Dairy, Goatry alonwith water conservation methods was also disseminated to the participants.

Later, interface discussion was held among all the stakeholders (Banks, LDMs, DDMs, DPMs, NGOs) to increase/strengthen the SHG and JLG linkages in the respective districts.
