March 3, 2025 – In a huge relief for YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, the Supreme Court today granted him permission to continue airing his podcast, The Ranveer Show, on condition that he maintains decency in his content. India’s top Court, in its ruling today, dismissed the plea filed by the prosecution to cancel the YouTuber's podcast and said he will be allowed to run his shows "subject to morality and decency."

"He is saying there are multiple employees, so there are families whose livelihood is in question. Subject to maintaining morality and decency, if he wants to run a programme, we can say he can," said the Supreme Court.

Allahbadia's lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud had cited his client’s podcast as livelihood for many employees and urged the Bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh to lift the restriction on his show because it employs about 280 people.

However, the Court has denied the YouTuber’s request to be allowed to travel abroad. This request, the Court explained, would be reviewed only after the ongoing investigation in the India’s Got Latent case in which he should cooperate fully.

Allahabadia, also known as Beer Biceps, had come under heavy backlash after he made crass comments in an episode of comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Apart from being hit by criticisms from various quarters, multiple FIRs were filed against him seeking his arrest. He was granted interim relief by the Supreme Court on February 18 which granted him protection from arrests.

Allahbadia had then filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking partial relief from a previous Court order that had restrained him from broadcasting his podcast The Ranveer Show.
