Repoll in Jaipur Booth After 110 Voters on Deletion List Cast Votes
SEC orders fresh poll on September 13 at Polling Station No. 4 of the Jaipur Nagar Nigam
UdaipurTimes, Sept 12, 2026 - The State Election Commission (SEC), Rajasthan, has directed repoll at Polling Station No. 4 of the Jaipur Nagar Nigam, according to a government press release. The booth is in the Government Upper Primary School, Teela Wala, Sanganer, located in Part No. 23 of Ward No. 62
According to the SEC, an incident came to light during polling at this polling booth on September 11, 2026, in which 110 voters whose names were included in the deletion list were allowed to cast their votes. After considering the reports received from the District Election Officer and the Returning Officer, the SEC concluded that the incident had affected the fairness of the election.
In view of this, under Rule 55 of the Rajasthan Municipalities (Election) Rules, 1994, the SEC has decided to conduct a fresh poll (repoll) on September 13, 2026, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The concerned officials have been instructed to inform the contesting candidates and their election agents in writing about the date, time and location of the repoll. They have also been directed to ensure wide publicity of the information in the concerned area.
