A one and a half year old female panther has been rescued from the Kumbhal Garh Forest Range.  The  panther is acutely anaemic and is continuously declining as noted in the red blood cell of the animal.

Dr. Pradeep Pradhan, Assistant Director, Zoo, Udaipur today informed that after initial treatment some improvement was shown by the animal but the condition of the Panther is still critical.

This young female panther had been rescued a few days back by the Kumbhalgarh forest officials near “Sadri forest range”.  She was found in a very drowsy and critical condition and was hardly able to move.

Zoo Animals enjoying the Monsoon Breeze

While the rescued Panther is struggling for its life, other animals in the zoo were seen enjoying the soothing environment and the monsoon breeze in their breeding season.

Peacocks are laying eggs, Parakeets nurturing their young ones and the new Leopard couple is also enjoying the season.  A new female Panther has been brought from the Junagarh Zoo of Gujarat and now there are almost five Panthers in the Zoo.  A Rare Australian Bird is also looking for its partner.
