Roopsagar is one of the prominent water bodies falling in the area of Keshav Nagar. This water body has been facing neglect since long. Even after the process of beautification, no attention has been paid by administration for the conservation of this water body.

The residents went to the pal of Roopsagar on Thursday and carried out a vehicle rally from here to Collectorate. They began their indefinite strike from Collectorate. 

It has been demanded that demarcation and conservation must be done for Roopsagar else it will become history very soon. These demands have been circulated since months but no action has yet been taken. 

Dr Rajendra Shrimali, Om Prakash Sharma, Arjunlal Sharma and 3 female representatives began the strike and also said that if the demands are not fulfilled then the strike will turn into an indefinite one.
