Udaipur, October 22, 2024 – Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma held a meeting with US Ambassador Eric Garcetti at his office in Jaipur yesterday, October 22. In course of this meeting, CM Sharma invited Garcetti and US investors to the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit scheduled to be held from December 9 to 11, 2024.

The Chief Minister stressed on the importance of American partnership and cooperation in various areas including climate, green technology, healthcare and medical research and tourism. He also extended an invitation to American universities to open campuses in Rajasthan and to collaborate in the GCC and data centre sectors.

During the talks, the CM highlighted the immense investment potential in the State in sectors such as renewable energy, mining, IT and manufacturing. He spoke of the continuous efforts being made in the State in skill development, IT, modernisation of infrastructure and defense technology and mentioned that Rajasthan ranked first in the country in solar and wind energy. He also talked about the government’s plans of introducing a new tourism policy that would benefit investors in a big way. 

US Ambassador Garcetti expressed a desire to cooperate in areas such as sports, women's development, energy and urban development.
