Udaipur, February 26, 2025 - Resident doctors of RNT Medical College have complained about mismanagement and poor food quality in the mess of the new junior hostel. Despite repeated complaints, no solution has been found. The mess has been closed for the past 15 days, causing difficulties for doctors. Doctors submitted a memorandum to Principal Dr. Vipin Mathur on February 17, 2025, regarding food quality. On February 25, 2025, the United Doctors Front Union, Jaipur, also sent a letter to the principal.

Mess remains closed without notice

Doctors said that the mess often remains closed without prior notice. This forces them to order food from outside. They are unable to get timely meals, which affects their work and health. Doctors said the food quality is extremely poor. The taste, nutrition, and hygiene are not satisfactory. Many doctors face health issues due to unhygienic food. Around 140 resident doctors live in this hostel. They work 48-hour shifts but do not receive nutritious meals.

Mess operator issues raised
Doctors claimed that the same person has been operating the mess for five years. He serves food at his convenience, sometimes giving morning meals in the evening and vice versa. Despite several discussions with the administration, no response has been received.

Doctors have demanded that the administration ensure the mess operates regularly and provides better food quality.
