Udaipur, December 9,2024 - Udaipur's traffic system is set to improve with multiple road construction and widening projects by the Municipal Corporation and UDA.
Durga Nursery Junction to Be Widened
The Durga Nursery junction is being expanded to ease traffic. The Municipal Corporation is demolishing the wall of the Tribal Research Institute (TRI) to widen the road by 10 feet.
A 240-meter stretch between Durga Nursery junction and TRI on the Ashok Nagar route is being worked on. Poles between Lakecity Mall and Durga Nursery Road have also been removed.
The work is expected to be completed within two and a half months. Once finished, traffic jams in the area, especially between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, will reduce significantly.
A small temple at the turn from Durga Nursery Road to Ashok Nagar is in the middle of the road. It will be relocated near a Peepal tree to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Drain construction on the 100-feet road between Ayad and Shobhagpura is ongoing. Due to this, traffic has been diverted to one side. The UDA expects the work to take 20-25 days.
UDA has begun widening the Fatehpura intersection by demolishing 24 shops. Once completed, this will allow smoother traffic flow towards Nathdwara.
A new 1.75 km long, 80-feet-wide road is being constructed between RK Circle and Shobhagpura. Graveled work has been completed, and asphalt work will be done soon. The route will be opened after completion.
These projects aim to improve Udaipur’s road infrastructure and reduce traffic issues in key areas.
