Hamid Ansari, Vice President India, paid obeisance at Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Dargah (Shrine), Ajmer today. On the ocassion the Dargah Committee rolled out a warm reception for Ansari at the Dargah entrance.

Dargah Committee Sadar Asrar Ahmed Khan welcomed Ansari with a Shawl and flower bouquet. As per royal tradition, Ansari was also presented a sword and “Tabarruk” on the occasion. Ansari then paid his obeisance at Khwaja’s dargah and offered “chadar”.

Ansari seemed overwhelmed with the warmth of the reception. A red carpet was rolled out from Nizam Gate to Babe Kadriya.

Ansari is on a two day visit to Ajmer. He will also be visiting Arabic Persian Research Institute in Vanasthali in Tonk district and Mayo College in Ajmer during the trip.
